I've been interested in American baked goods. but I basically cook Japanese food WASHOKU for myself.
and this blog 'Da Washoku Kitchen' was supposed to write about WASHOKU recipe... haha.It's OK.

普通のカメラで撮った写真だけど大丈夫かなーなんてちょっと心配していたのだけど、いい感じに仕上げて下さいました！
けど、やっぱしデジタル一眼かミラーレス欲しいね。写真て大事だもんね。
ベルリンって、アートにも気合いが入っていて、若い方の活躍がすごいて聞く。
どんな街なんだろうな。一度行ってみたいもんだ。
あと、最近はアメリカンなお菓子に興味がいっちゃってるから、和食レシピもまたどんどんアップしていこうって思いましたわ！

Surfing through the food web site, I found「They Draw and Cook」.
There are recipe Illustrations in there, and It's so so so so cute!!!
I always enjoy reading Picture's book about food!! I just love them!
If you love cooking and picture's book, it's must see.

「They Draw and Cook」という、めちゃめちゃキュートなサイトを見つけました。
世界中のアーティストによって描かれたイラストのレシピが集まるサイトで、可愛い物好きかつ料理好きな女子には必見ですぞ！！！

私、絵心が全然なくて、特に立体が苦手で、立体の長方形なんかは書いてる途中で意味が分からなくなってしまいおろおろしてしまうのです。奥行きをうまく書けないというのかなぁ。。算数の展開図とかああいうのもさっぱりできなかったっけー。
芸術的なセンスというのは、料理にも大きく関わる部分なので、絵心のある人が羨ましいなぁ。


子供の頃「こまったさん」シリーズやら「不思議な鍵ばあさん」やら、食べる物が出て来る絵本がめちゃくちゃ大好きだったのだけれど、私だけかしらー？みなさんどうですか？
絵になっている料理って、すごく美味しそうで素敵で胸がドキドキしてきちゃうー！


「They Draw and Cook」には、センス溢れるイラストが満載なので、見てるだけでもすごく楽しめます！

I'm your biggest fan! dancyu

I've been reading dancyu magazine since I was a kids. probably it's longer than 15 years.

It's all about food! 
I've never disappointed with this book! Topic is sensible. Hi quality food photos. Even they show us the recipe by famous restaurant's chef with a thoughtful and scrupulous explanation. How nice! That's the reason why I keep reading this magazine. 


Anyway, I'm wondering why there are many food magazine in the US yet people don't cook that much? 

Amelia Bedelia

I like Amelia Bedelia Book series so much!

This book reminds me of my days I had spent in America as a Nanny.

She is a girl who likes cooking. yet, kind of .... scatterbrain. haha! 
I mean she is pure, kind and nice girl. 
But, She always misconstrue a sentence. 
Don't worry! It have come to a happy ending with her great cooks.


I remember I couldn't understand some english words when I was in america.
For example, the phrase of  ’drive me nuts.’ didn't make sence to me!!!
I understand what does it means now. 


So, I feel empathy with her very much!!!
I hope my cooking has the loving power like she has.


Amelia Bedeliaという子供向けの本がお気に入りです。
この本を読むと、アメリカでいた頃のことを思いだすなぁ。


彼女は、料理好きな気のいい女の子なんだけれど、、、おっちょこちょいで「お米を量っておいてね。」と言われると、お米の長さを測ってしまったりします。
失敗だらけな彼女だけれど、最後はいつも彼女の作るお菓子のおかげでハッピーエンディングになるの。


アメリカにいた頃、私もよく言葉の意味を取り違えていたことが思いだされるなぁー。
例えば「drive me nuts」とかね。これ、「make me crazy（私をクレイジーにさせる）」と同じような意味で使われるんだけど、初めて言われた時は「What kind of nuts you mean?（どの種類の豆のこと？）」とヘンな受け答えしちゃったな。。。
そういうのも今では笑い話です。


読んでると、おっちょこちょいな彼女に共感するところがすごくあります。
私のお料理も、彼女のように人をあったかい気持ちにさせられたらいいなと思っています。


お話が短くて英語も難しくないのでオススメです。
