OYAKODON(Chicken and Egg Rice bowl)  親子丼

OYAKODON is a Japanese traditional comfort food.
OYAKO means parents and child, refers to the main ingredients Chicken and Egg.
DON is Japanese style Rice Bowl.
Most kids loves egg and chicken, right? I can assure you,  your kids will love OYAKODON!
This is so easy, simple, quick, yummy and soothing, won't bother you.
You should try!

*Ingredients* 2 servings
(Dashi soup stock)
5 oz water
4 to 5 sliced dried SHIITAKE mushroom (only if you have.)
1 tbsp light-colored soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
2 tsp sugar
1/3 tsp salt

5 and 1/4 oz Chicken thights
1/2 onion
2 egg
MITSUBA to taste (only if you have.)

2 cup steamed rice

1. Soak dried SHIITAKE mushroom in water.
SHIITAKE mushroom have UMAMI.

2. Add soy sauce, mirin, sugar and salt.

3. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces. Slice onion.

4. Put 2' in a pot or a skillet and bring to a boil on medium heat.
5. Put chicken and onion in a skillet and cover with a lid. Let simmer till cooked.

6. Beat eggs in a bowl, pour over the chicken and onion. Cook an additional 10 sec. Remove from heat and cover the skillet until egg is steamed.

7. Serve over cooked rice in a bowl.

スライス干し椎茸 4-5ヶ
水 150cc
薄口醤油 大さじ1
みりん 大さじ1
砂糖 小さじ2
塩 小さじ1/3
鶏もも肉 150g
タマネギ 1/2個
卵 2個
あれば三つ葉 3本くらい


1. 水に干し椎茸を入れ戻しておく。
2. 醤油、みりん、砂糖、塩を加え、混ぜる。
3. 鶏もも肉を一口大に切る。タマネギをスライスする。三つ葉を3センチ程度に切る。
4. 小さめのお鍋かフライパンに2のだしを煮立て、鶏肉と玉ねぎを入れて火が通るまで煮る。
5. 煮立ったら、溶き卵を回しいれ、半熟の状態になったら火を止めて予熱で火を通す。三つ葉を散らす。
6. 炊きたてごはんにのせて出来上がり!
